Xiao Li is one of the main male Deuteragonist in "Battle Through the Heavens." With the help of his brother, Xiao Ding, they created the Desert Metal Mercenary Company so that they can protect Xiao Yan from being a servant in the future after he lost his talent.
Appearance[]
A face of a young man who appeared was similar to Xiao Yan’s.
The young man was wearing a mercenary uniform; his tall figure was straight and strong. Those dark black eyes of his contained laziness and cold sternness. On his face, his smile was overflowing. However, under it hid a faint fierceness and viciousness. Clearly, this young man might appear good natured but he was the type of person who did not offend others when others did not offend him. If someone offended him, he was the fierce type who would strike back even if he was dying.[5]
Personality[]
Xiao Li, just like Xiao Yan and Xiao Ding, is so caring to his clan and family.
His character was vicious and cautious. He basically did not trust anyone other than a couple of relatives.
Among the three brothers of the Xiao clan, Xiao Ding was calm, wise and farsighted, Xiao Li was sinister and vicious, while Xiao Yan was mysterious and unpredictable. The three of them had different characters but they were able to cause their opponents to feel uneasy and turn their hearts cold.[6]

Background[]
Xiao Li is the second brother of Xiao Yan. Xiao Li and Xiao Ding created 'Desert Metal Mercenary Company'. Currently Xiao Li is the Vice Leader of Xiao Gate.
Plot[]
Xiao Li escaped from the attacked leading by Misty Cloud Sect
After he had learned of Xiao Yan death in the Jia Nan Academy, he had wanted to directly go and find those people who had participated in the sneak attack to engage them in an all out fight because of the great vengeance of the Xiao Clan. He have endured this despair for around two months or so before he finally suppressed the impulse to go and find these fellows to fight within his heart. However, he knew that given his training speed, it is likely that he would not be able to achieve the strength that is able to take revenge on the Misty Cloud Sect in the foreseeable future.[7]
Around half a year after the news of Xiao Yan death had been spread, he had fled into the deep mountains while being chased. By chance, he obtained “Life Devouring Pill”. This kind of medicinal pill was able to forcefully raise the strength of Xiao Li, who was around the Da Dou Shi class all the way to the Dou Wang class. However, once such a medicinal pill is used, one could only maintain one’s life for three years. In other words, this medicinal pill basically used all of one’s remaining life to exchange for a Dou Wang strength for three years.[7]
The Deep Green Longevity Pill was given to Xiao Li by Xiao Yan as a temporary solution.[8]
After the fierce fight between Han Feng and his group for Fallen Heart Flame with 'Jia Nan Academy'[9], years later Black Alliance was destroyed by the joint force of Xiao Yan, Xiao Li and Inner Academy. After the fall of the 'Black Alliance' Xiao Li and Xiao Yan set up a faction called Xiao Gate in the 'Feng City', to rally the forces to destroy the Misty Cloud Sect. They also assisted in monitoring some of the factions which possess enmity towards the 'Jia Nan Academy'.[2] Currently Xiao Li is managing 'Xiao Gate', one of the 1st-Tier faction in the ‘Black-Corner Region’.[10]
