She was part of the 4 members of the Yan Clan that traveled to the Gu Realm to enter the Heavenly Tomb. She watched Xiao Yan fight Yang Hao and after the fight her and Xiao Yan locked eyes. She realized his Heavenly Flame was powerful and wanted to spar with Xiao Yan to find out who had the stronger Heavenly Flame.[2][3] When her clan came to the Gu Realm to join forces to fight the Hun Clan, she watched Lei Dong fight members of the Gu Clan with Huo Xuan. After the Lei clan members made comments about Gu Xun Er becoming Lei Dong's wife, Gu Zhen told them to watch their mouth or they will invite trouble. At this time Xiao Yan showed up and defeated all the Lei Clan members and then accepted a fight from the clan head, Lei Ying. She watched Xiao Yan use the Extermination Fire Body in the fight and was surprised along with everyone else that there were 6 Heavenly Flames in his body.
