Background

When Xiao Yan was the most promising youngster of the Xiao Clan, he was afraid of him. But when Xiao Yan lost all his talent and his cultivation stagnated, he started to mock and bully him.

Plot

In Xiao Yan's generation, Xiao Ning was regarded as the third-ranked genius in the Xiao Clan, behind only Xiao Yan and Xiao Xun Er.

Xun Er always accompanied Xiao Yan, who was then viewed as a waste. His hatred towards Xiao Yan led him to use the battle in the Coming of Age Ceremony to determine who could pursue Xun Er.

In the Coming of Age Ceremony, he challenged Xiao Yan and was completely beaten by him, who unexpectedly regained his previous talent. Xiao Ning was so furious that he consumed a pill given by his sister Xiao Yu. In exchange for a short increase in his battle power, he suffered harm from that pill.
