Fa Ma is one of the male tritagonists in "Battle Through the Heavens." He is a Tier 6 Alchemist who taught Pill King Gu He and is the chairman of the Jia Ma Empire Alchemist Association.[3]
Appearance[]
There sat an old man wearing a purple colored alchemist robe. He had a dried tree bark like face of the an old man that appeared to be dying. His gaze was somewhat strange.[3]
Personality[]
He is usually found asleep and rarely anything wakes him up.
Etymology[]
- Fā means "To Send Out."(發)
- Mā means "Mother or Mum."(媽)
Background[]
He was the head of the Jia Ma Empire Alchemist Association.
Back then, when Fa Ma was still young, he had coincidentally met an old man, whose ability was unfathomable, while he was roaming the continent. Due to some reason, the old man and Fa Ma lived together for three days. During those three days, the old man casually imparted some things to him. However, Fa Ma benefited greatly from those things. By borrowing what the old man had taught, the originally unknown Fa Ma returned to the Jia Ma Empire and advanced step by step until this stage today. It was also because he had reached this step that Fa Ma increasingly realized just how terrifying the ability of that mysterious old man back then was.
That old man was Yao Lao.[3]
Plot[]
The vague Qi that he sensed on Xiao Yan was quite similar to the one that the old man back then had, it was the reason that Fa Ma had abruptly lost himself. When Xiao Yan returned for the three year agreement and was disguised as Yan Xiao he counted on him to win the Alchemist Grand Meeting and save the face of the association. During Xiao Yan fight with Nalan Yanran he was shocked along with everyone else once it was revealed that Yan Xiao was actually Xiao Yan. After Xiao Yan defeated the Misty Cloud Sect and established the Yan Alliance he became the Deputy Director behind Gu He of the Pill Hall. Xiao Yan then left the Jia Ma Empire for approximately 8 years and during this time Gu He didn't do a good job of running the Pill Hall. This caused some elders to take advantage of the Pill Hall to enrich themselves. When Xiao Yan returned he cleared out those elders and their followers. Xiao Yan then demoted Gu He to deputy director and made Fa Ma the director of the Pill Hall.
Trivia[]
- When Xiao Yan returned to the Yan alliance he knew that Xiao Yan was going to kill members of the Pill Hall who had committed crimes against the hall and thought it was funny.
